Republic Day Initiatives
On 26th January NGO celebrated Republic Day at Jambulpada-Thakurpada village, Shapur taluka, Thane district, Maharashtra from Khardi railway station 26km remort area. The full event supported by ‘Shree Shreyaskar Ghoghari Parivar, Youth Group’. The 40 youths from their community actively took part. The celebration at the village community hall, with children songs, dance and distributed Dates pakets. Then among 70 family organize Haldi-Kumkum ritual. The families have given with token of gifts with colorful Blankets and Food Grains. There was long times dance among villagers and youth groups. Thankful to Mr. Menon, Mr. Mane,Ms. Pratibha and youth group leader Mr. Rahil Doshi.
Secondly on republic day afternoon we visited Charachapada-Pendri, Aghai, Shapur taluka, Thane district near by Tansha Dam, inside of the Reserved forest. From main road there is no road up to 5 km to reach the villages. Very bad shape around the village and tremoundus problems of water at the villeges though Tansha Dam is only 5 – 6 km from the villages.We distributed Chocklates, Date packets, Uniforms and old clothes for five villegers from Pendri school.
